Growth factors for rapid healing. PRP, CGF and bone grafting.

The plasma therapy PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a revolutionary alternative method in medicine, which stimulates the healing of hard and soft tissues and reliefs pain considerably. The method is based on the role that the thrombocytes play in the recovering process of damaged parts of the body.

The natural growth factors when thrombocytes are divided in the damaged parts are important.

In brief, this method implies taking blood from the patient and its processing with a special apparatus. The so obtained suspension, rich of thrombocytes and plasma is with minimum content of leukocytes and is injected in the damaged zone.

It can be combined with hyaluronic acid, which guarantees the growth of healthy and elastic skin without wrinkles when dermatological procedures are applied.

Another option, extremely efficient in implantology, is the augmentation of the bone volume and the oral surgery to obtain CGF (concentrated growth factors).

Inserted into the tissues, this suspension, rich in growth factors, causes neovascularization, normalizes the haemodynamics, the tissue respiration and the metabolism. At the same time there is a process of formation of new bone.

Thanks the CGF, we accelerate the healing process and reduce the bone resorption after bone grafting (augmentation).

We improve the absorption of the grafted bone at the site of insertion by obtaining autologous fibrin glue (AFG). This is plasma that can be mixed with artificial bone and bone from the patient, which can be placed in the missing area. It is necessary to increase the volume of the alveolar ridge when lifting the sinus membrane in case that implants are needed, after extracting a tooth or not erupted wisdom tooth, etc.

In the clinic we use CGF, AFG and PRP:

  • after tooth extraction
  • for gingival and periodontal problems.
  • in case of deep underground pockets.
  • in implantology
  • when removing the tooth root in the event of a granuloma or a cyst.
  • upon extraction of an impacted wisdom tooth.
  • after the closure of the communication canal between the nasal and the oral cavities.
  • after removing cysts
  • upon the reconstruction of bone of the alveolar ridge.
  • upon lifting the sine membrane.

CGF is a natural source for growth factors and a membrane, contributing to the rapid recovery of our patients.
